City by the Bay

Jim Maher is on his third musical journey that now takes us to the city by the Bay.  His new musical “Hero” is a love story between two entirely different people in the most unlikely place.

Wyatt is a Fox news republican, and Emily is a CNN card carrying liberal out to save the world one human being at a time.  Can they find love in a world where illegal drugs are distributed on every corner, police have disrespect for the homeless, homeless have disrespect for the police, conservatives won’t listen to liberals and liberals cancel the conservatives?  Well, Emily and Wyatt think so.  Although they have different political and social beliefs, they start a love affair based on trust and understanding, until it fails, once their friends get involved.

Jim’s story, “Hero”, was inspired by his love of San Francisco and the everyday hero’s that walk among us.  He uses true stories of big city vigilantes like Phoenix Jones and Shadow Patriot to help craft his tale into a must-see production.  Songs like “In the Night” and “Underworld” touch upon the issues of homelessness and drug abuse, while “Destiny” reminds us of the beauty of San Francisco.  This politically and socially charged musical will challenge you and touch your heart.
